Redesigning the Ticket Booking Experience.
Overview
Tikety is a platform for booking tickets to experiences, concerts, adventures, and more. Their objective was to revamp the website’s visual identity while optimizing the booking and purchase process, making it more intuitive for a diverse range of users.
The Challenge
The main challenge was managing a complex catalog of experiences across multiple destinations. Each type of booking, adventures, concerts, theaters, musicals, etc. had its own unique requirements. My task was to create a system flexible enough to handle all types of reservations while keeping the user experience smooth and consistent.
The Process
I began by mapping the different user flows for each experience type, identifying where users struggled or abandoned bookings. I then designed a unified filtering and search system, making it easier for users to discover relevant experiences based on location, date, and type.
Next, I focused on the booking process itself, simplifying steps and standardizing forms while accommodating specific needs for each experience category. Visual design improvements emphasized clarity and hierarchy, ensuring that users could navigate and complete bookings confidently.
I also included subtle upsells and suggestions for related experiences, enhancing user engagement without creating friction.
The Result
The redesigned Tikety platform significantly improved user navigation and booking success rates. Users could find and reserve experiences faster, with reduced friction across all experience types. The visual refresh strengthened brand identity and trust, while the flexible booking system allowed Tikety to scale and offer diverse experiences seamlessly.
