Optimizing Booking for Immersive Experiences.
Overview
Immersive Gamebox is a global leader in immersive, interactive games, providing unique experiences in multiple locations worldwide. Their goal was to increase reservations and improve user engagement through a more intuitive and visually appealing booking system.
The Challenge
The main challenge was to redesign the booking process so it was simpler, more intuitive, and encouraged users to select time slots and packages that were less busy. Users could choose games, dates, times, and add extras, but the system previously felt complex and scattered. We needed to balance visual appeal with functional clarity while driving higher sales of extras and off peak bookings.
The Process
I started by analyzing user flows and identifying friction points in the existing booking experience. I then created wireframes that streamlined selection steps and emphasized a clear path from choosing a game to completing the reservation.
To guide users toward off peak times, I designed subtle visual cues and prompts highlighting available slots with offers or discounts. Extras like food, drinks, and add-ons were integrated in a way that felt natural, not pushy, improving upsell potential.
The visual design focused on dynamic, playful elements that reflected the immersive and interactive brand identity, while maintaining clarity and usability across all desktop interactions.
The Result
The redesigned system simplified the booking journey, making it faster and more intuitive. Users were guided toward off-peak times, increasing reservations during quieter slots, and upselling of extras improved significantly.
