Enhancing the Configurator and Booking Experience.
Overview
Maeving is a pioneering electric motorcycle company in the UK. They engaged us to improve two critical sections of their website: the configurator for customizing motorcycles and the booking system for test rides. My focus was to ensure both processes were intuitive, efficient, and visually appealing.
The Challenge
The main challenge was the complexity of the configurator, which offered numerous options such as seat colors, bodywork finishes, and additional accessories. The booking system also required clarity and simplicity to encourage users to schedule test rides seamlessly. My goal was to balance functionality with a clean, engaging user experience.
The Process
I started by mapping user journeys for both the configurator and the booking system. For the configurator, I designed a step by step interactive flow, allowing users to see real time visual changes as they customized their bike. Clear labeling, intuitive controls, and visual previews ensured users could experiment with options without confusion.
For the booking system, I streamlined the reservation steps, reducing friction and highlighting available slots for test rides. I also incorporated subtle visual cues and reminders to enhance user confidence and conversion.
The Result
The redesigned configurator empowered users to customize their motorcycles easily, providing a satisfying interactive experience. The improved booking system increased test ride reservations, creating a smoother connection between users and the brand. Overall, both updates strengthened Maeving’s online presence and aligned with their innovative, high end identity.
